The Effect Of Big Data On Public Health By Government Of...

In this part I have selected to discuss about the use of big data in public health by Government of India, as I have worked there. In recent years there is a rapid expansion in generation and use of data. Although in health sector there has been an increase in production of data, but little use of data have seen to improve health care. Mostly all of the data at individual level like medical history, doctor’s prescription, pathology reports, diagnostic images etc. and some data at community level like hospital admission statistic, vital statistics etc. goes waste and are not used for further analysis and reference. Despite a very rapid use of various electronic system in public health, the interconnection between different data set is not present for taking out implications from them. Data set can be within health system or between health and other systems. But these isolated data sets cannot help any organization or a country to know how individual health is effected by other system like environmental or social. As it is very well known fact that health is a social construct. To utilize this concept, Durham, North Carolina had successfully linked health system and social and environmental data via shared geography to provide a multidimensional understanding of individual and community health. And aimed to improve health care, improve overall health of the population and reduce per capita costs of health. By pooling census data, tax payments and lead concentrationsShow MoreRelatedThe Indian Population are Living in Severy Poverty860 Words   |  3 PagesBajpai, Sachs and Volavka (2005) studied the confronts to meet the MDGs in India. Global Health Governance Challenges

Question: Discuss about the Global Health Governance Challenges. Answer: Introduction The essay mainly highlights the issue, arguments as well as counter arguments that are built around the Munk Debate in China. China is considered more a continent rather than a country. If China were prearranged like Europe, it would have to be alienated up into 90 nation states (Horesh). Discussion It has been argued that what has been most impressive about China. The answer to this is that China is catching up in terms of innovation as well as in terms of education. As per the debate, it is about to surpass Germany in terms of new patents those are granted. It has been found that the mission of China for equivalent partnership with the United States is no longer the outsized assert of a defenseless country (Gertz). The mesmerizing thing is that the two immense geopolitical philosophers have the same opinion that the Chinese financial challenge is also a challenge to the domination in the world of the United States. It has been quoted by Dr. Kissinger, the 56th Secretary of State of the United States that an unambiguous American project to systematize Asia on the base of containing China or generating block of self-governing states for an ideological campaign is improbable to succeed. It has been noted that the financial crisis was mainly due to extreme borrowing as well as subsidized staking (Lin). Fareed Zakaria had performed a counter agreement that mainly focused on the facts about China. It was argued by him that China is no going to be the leading power of the 21st century and the century is not going to be in the right place for China. The main reason was the economic cause that indicates that nothing goes up in a direct line everlastingly. It was pointed out by him that there were enormous inefficiencies that were built into the Chinese system. China is known to have a enormous property bubble. The development of the country is highly incompetent (Kickbusch). Conclusion According to the opinion, China was considered as the largest economy in the world however; the numbers are based on purchasing power parity. According to this, the GDP of China gets inflated due to the fact that the cost of a haircut in Beijing is less as compared to the cost in Toronto. China has accomplished the largest as well as the fastest industrial revolution that helped to lift hundreds of poor people out of poverty. The company has a substantive mission in which it aims at providing the customers with quality goods and services at the lowest price involving the control of inventory. The company is also guided by a specific code of ethics in which it focuses on caring for both members and employees, respecting the vendors, and rewarding the company’s shareholders. In o rder to remain ahead of its competition, Costco uses some of the best business processes in its supply chain management. The profitability of the company can be attributed to the fact that it has embraced mechanisms that minimize loses along the supply chain. Costco uses two methods in its operation to minimize costs. The first method is the vendor managed inventory in which the supplier has the responsibility to maintain the inventory levels thereby reducing the labor cost incurred by Costco. The other method involves ‘cross docking’ in which a large fraction of the inventory is kept in several centers that are used in distribution while the rest is kept in the Costco stores. In order to successfully beat other companies in the industry, Costco uses a pricing strategy that involves capping its markup of any given brand name by about 15 %. This is lower compared to other companies that do the sameby between 20 and 25%. In case of a private label the company does the mar kup by about 16%. The services offered to the customers are usually at prices that can be bargained. The company in its truck applies two systems: one which involves the transportation of goods from the supplier, then to the depots, then the warehouses and finally to the consumers; and the other which involves goods being transported from the supplier directly to the warehouses, then after that, to the consumers. The second mechanism does not involve goods passing through the company’s depots.Advertising Looking for essay on business economics? Let's see if we can help you! The specific application suite used is the Drop-Ship Master. The suite is crucial to the company for it is used during the integration of new suppliers in the company’s system to enhance the making of quick orders as may be specified by Costco or the customer. Through this system, it is possible for a highly efficient supply management system to be maintained without necessarily getting involved in risk taking or inventory keeping. A single integration point is available at the ConnectionHub for use by Costco. Through this point, it is possible for the company to efficiently contact the suppliers. This quickens the rate at which the goods are moved from the supplier to the consumer and hence consumer satisfaction In conclusion, Costco has effectively developed into a serious company in the supply chain management business. The strategies it applies work successfully and it can be said that these strategies are responsible for the company’s best performance in the market.
